My research explores the emergent properties of neuronal networks, focusing on the fundamental principles governing synaptic organization and network dynamics. Using the comprehensive MICrONS dataset, I investigate E/I balance, synaptic strength distributions, and the functional roles of diverse inhibitory mechanisms. This work bridges cellular-level interactions and network-level computations, using computational and theoretical approaches to uncover the organizing principles of neural circuits.
