Guidelines & Safety
The FabLab houses dangerous machines and materials, as well as sharp unfinished objects from works in progress. Before approaching the workshop space, please read these general safety guidelines:
- Before entering, be conscious of the level of activity in the FabLab. Please wait at the door until you have the attention of the person in charge.
- If you observe someone in the FabLab wearing eye, ear or respiratory protective gear, knock on the door or wait at the entrance until you are noticed.
- The safe part of the workshop is the open area. Please stay away from the machines area.
- Do not touch any machine without explicit permission from the FabLab manager.
- Registered members, once they have obtained guidance and approval from the FabLab director, will be allowed to operate the Makerspace machines independently.
