Shira completed her PhD at Bar Ilan University, at the Gonda Multidisciplinary Brain Research Center, focusing on thought-related associative processes. She then conducted 2 years of postdoctoral training at the Neuroscience Institute at NYU, studying the neural mechanisms of spontaneous perceptual behavior. Shira is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Dr. Aya Ben Yakov’s lab, where she studies the mechanisms of segmentation and continuity in perception and memory, using fMRI and behavioral methods.
