Ofer Perl holds an undergraduate degree in life sciences from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He then pursued an MSc. and PhD in neurobiology in the Weizmann Institute of Science in the field of human olfaction under the supervision of Prof. Noam Sobel. Ofer next concluded a 3 year postdoctoral training at the Icahn School of Medicine in Mount Sinai Hospital, New York in the departments of computational psychiatry and cognitive neuroscience. Currently Ofer is a postdoctoral researcher in the Ben-Yakov lab at ELSC where he studies mechanisms of episodic memory encoding in humans using fMRI and invasive recording.
