Postdoctoral Opportunities

Postdoc opportunity in the Kalcheim lab: “Developmental neurobiology”

A postdoctoral position is available in the field of CNS and neural crest development, under the supervision of Prof. Chaya Kalcheim.

The Kalcheim lab is using state of the art cellular, molecular and imaging techniques to investigate the mechanisms responsible for cell fate decisions during neural development, the dynamics of cell migration and the logic of signal integration during development.

Successful candidates are expected to tackle questions concerning the formation of the embryonic roof plate, which includes performing single-cell transcriptomic analysis of neural progenitors followed by elucidation of the function of selected genes and their integration into functional networks.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in neurobiology, cell biology or developmental biology and should have interests in in-vivo manipulation of avian embryos, imaging and molecular techniques (experience is an advantage). Candidates must be proficient in English.
