Postdoc opportunity in the Deouell lab: “Bridging intracranial and extracranial signals in humans”

A postdoctoral position is available in the field of Human Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory (HCNL), under the supervision of Prof. Leon Deouell.

Our lab investigates perceptual (and, occasionally, decision-making) processes and their relation to conscious awareness. What determines whether an event is consciously available or not? What is the difference between processing with and without conscious awareness? We aim to investigate these questions using experimental psychology while employing multiple brain imaging modalities, especially EEG, combined with simultaneous eye tracking, intracranial ECOG, or fMRI. The successful candidate will join a recently funded project trying to bridge the signals acquired using these different modalities.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in the field of cognitive neuroscience or a related discipline and have prior experience in human electrophysiology (EEG, MEG or ECOG). Experience with fMRI is an advantage.

Candidates should be driven and able to work independently yet enjoy the collaborative spirit of the lab.

Candidates must be proficient in English.
