I am a doctoral student at the ELSC program at HUJI, studying the effects of neuromodulation on the cortical network. I am mostly interested in the mechanisms by which neural systems encode rich sensory information and by which they can be subsequently decoded. In my doctoral project I use electrophysiology and calcium imaging in vivo to explore the functional role of a small population of cholinergic interneurons and their participation in sensory processing. I have a B.Sc. in Physics and Cognitive Sciences, and for the past 5 years I have been teaching theoretical concepts of neural networks in the “Computational Models in the Cognitive Sciences” course at both HUJI and The Open University.
