Population analysis of sequence generation for birdsong
While local motor cortical circuits are thought to contain information related to specific movement parameters, long-range inputs also play a critical role in action execution. We investigate the relative contributions of these network influences for the generation of an ethologically relevant complex behavioral sequence: the courtship song of the zebra finch.
