Immunoception: central representation and control of immunity
Synchronization between the external world and an organism’s internal state is essential for survival. The immune system plays a pivotal role in maintaining homeostasis and serves as an effective indicator of internal imbalances. In this talk, I will discuss our current understanding of how the brain represents and regulates the states of the immune system, examining both the therapeutic potential and the possible detrimental effects in inducing diseases and psychosomatic disorders.
