What Can Rats Teach Us About Dancing

The natural tendency to move in synchronization to a musical beat is a unique human capability, with few and unique examples in non-human animals. I will describe the search for non-human models of auditory-motor synchronization, and present a recent study in rats that hints at some similarities, but also differences, between auditory-motor synchronization in rats and in humans
