On June 17, 2020, 40 diplomats visited Hebrew University labs and met with researchers to learn about the progress Israeli scientists are making in coronavirus research and treatment. The diplomats represented 27 countries as well as the European Union. Prof. Asher Cohen, president of the Hebrew University, emphasized the importance of research in battling the COVID-19 pandemic, stressing that “mankind can only beat this crisis with science.”
