יצירה זו נולדה לציון 100 שנה להיווסדה של האוניברסיטה העברית – לא רק כדי לציין דרך ארוכה ומשמעותית, אלא בעיקר כדי להביט קדימה אל עתיד שנרצה לברוא יחד: עתיד של תקווה ושותפות.
100 משתתפות ומשתתפים – מהקהילה המדעית ומחוצה לה, מכל גווני החברה ובכל הגילים – קיבלו לידיהם קובייה שקופה אחת. בתוך כל קובייה הטמיעו יצירה אישית, המשקפת עבורם ביטוי חזותי של תקווה.
המעצבים שליוו את התהליך חיברו את כל הקוביות לכדי אובייקט פיסולי, שמהווה הפשטה של מוח האדם – מרכז התודעה, הדמיון והיצירה, שממנו נולדים כל הרגשות, הרעיונות והחלומות.

100 Hands of Hope - A creation celebrating the Hebrew University’s centennial
This artwork was created to mark the centennial of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem – not only as a reflection on a long and meaningful journey, but above all, as a forward-looking gesture toward a future we aspire to shape together: a future of hope and shared purpose.
100 participants – from within and beyond the scientific community, representing all ages and the full spectrum of Israeli society – were each entrusted with a single transparent cube. Within each cube, they embedded a personal creation: a visual expression of their own interpretation of hope.
Guided by the designers who accompanied the process, the cubes were assembled into a sculptural object – an abstract representation of the human brain, the center of consciousness, imagination and creativity, and from which all emotions, ideas, and dreams arise.
Here, science and art converge.
Here, doubt and pain are born – and here, too, hope takes root.
Here, dreams begin.
