ELSC congratulates Katarzyna Winek, MD/PhD for being awarded the Shimon Peres Postdoctoral Fellowship for 2019.

ELSC CONGRATULATES KATARZYNA WINEK, MD/PHD FOR BEING AWARDED THE SHIMON PERES POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP FOR 2018-2019.

Katarzyna Winek, MD/PhD completed her medical studies at the Medical University of Warsaw and then graduated from the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, investigating the gut microbiome in experimental stroke and its impact on the outcome after cerebral ischemia. At ELSC, she works as postdoctoral researcher in the group of Professor Hermona Soreq exploring the role of small noncoding RNAs in stroke. Her scientific interests focus on clinical neuroscience, particularly the interplay between the brain and the immune system after CNS injury.
