Using human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) and human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), we established several disease models for PolyQ-related disorders.
We are combining molecular and epigenomic approaches in neurons and cerebral organoids derived from our pluripotent cells to identify pre-symptomatic alterations in the disease states. The successful candidate will join one of several projects that study the underlying mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases.
