A postdoctoral position is available in the field of auditory perception, under the supervision of Prof. Israel Nelken.
The Nelken lab is using state-of-the-art experimental and theoretical tools to study sound-guided behavior. Current projects include the circuits that underlie sound preferences in mice, exploration and rapid learning of sequential tasks by rats, and the determination of auditory memory capacity in rodents. Experimental approaches include calcium and glutamate imaging (up to single spine resolution), neuropixels recordings in freely-moving, behaving rats, as well as cell-attached and intracellular recordings in head-fixed animals.
