Congratulations Prof. Naftali (Tali) Tishby

Prof. Tishby holds the Ruth and Stan Flinkman Chair for Brain Research at the Hebrew University, works at the interface of computer science and neuroscience. His research on information processing in biological systems has led to new insights important for both machine learning and brain function including language, the action-perception cycle, biological sensory hierarchies and deep learning.

Shimon Peres fellowship - 2018-2019

ELSC congratulates Katarzyna Winek, MD/PhD for being awarded the Shimon Peres Postdoctoral Fellowship for 2018-2019.

Katarzyna Winek, MD/PhD completed her medical studies at the Medical University of Warsaw and then graduated from the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, investigating the gut microbiome in experimental stroke and its impact on the outcome after cerebral ischemia. At ELSC, she works as postdoctoral researcher in the group of Professor Hermona Soreq exploring the role of small noncoding RNAs in stroke.
