I graduated in 2017 as MD\/PhD from the Charit\u00e9-Universit\u00e4tsmedizin Berlin with the thesis \u201cImpact of the gut microbiota on the outcome after experimental stroke\u201d (<em>summa cum laude,&nbsp;<\/em>supervision: Prof. Ulrich Dirnagl).&nbsp; Before joining the ELSC I have worked one year as postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Experimental Neurology at the Charit\u00e9-Universit\u00e4tsmedizin Berlin in the group of Prof. Andreas Meisel investigating the interplay between the brain and the immune system after stroke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Research interests: clinical neuroscience, stroke, small noncoding RNAs, brain-body communication, immune response after CNS injury, gut microbiome<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After finishing medical studies at the Medical University of Warsaw I became graduate student of the&nbsp;International Max Planck Research School for Infectious Diseases and Immunology (IMPRS-IDI) and International Medical Neurosciences Graduate School in Berlin.
