Laboratory of Motor Control
Our lab is interested in the operation of the motor system during physiological and pathological states. Our working hypothesis is that local computation within motor sites and interactions between remote sites contribute to the planning and execution of voluntary movements. Consequently, we are studying the descending mechanism(s) through which group of muscles are rapidly recruited for performing motor tasks. We further study the way ascending sensory information shapes motor actions by dictating the timing of these events.
