Neurophysiology of cognitive processes
Social behaviors, ranging from coordinated courtship displays, to more complex behaviors such as observational learning and group cooperation, requires neuronal mechanism that support cognitive mapping of physical and social spaces, for self and others. Mechanisms that when disrupted, may underlay some of the devastating human neuropathologies of social behavior. We are interested in understanding the neuronal mechanisms that enable us to navigate in physical and social spaces.
