ELSC cordially invites you to the lecture given by:
Dr. Bruce Hope

On the topic of:
“Molecular and cellular engrams in operant reward learning”
Neuronal ensembles encode memories associated with many different learned behaviors, including operant reward learning underlying food and drug seeking. We use a combination of transgenic rats, ensemble inactivation, and fluorescence activated cell sorting (FACS) and electrophysiology to identify unique molecular and cellular alterations that can form part of the engram within these neuronal ensembles. Our focus is on ensembles in the prefrontal cortex to nucleus accumbens circuit in food and drug seeking in rats.
